Todays project is a card made using one of the beautiful images from the Meditteranean Moments stamp set by Stampin'Up. There are four images in the stamp set and I love them all and I think they lend themselves perfectly to the water colouring technique. This is a much looser way of putting colour into the image rather than adding detailed colour.
The cardstock used for the card is wisteria wonder and whisper white, and I used the following colours to paint the image, wisteria wonder, daffodil delight, watermelon wonder, flirty flamingo and garden green.
I used an aqua painter and diluted the ink from the stampin pads, the initial wash was very diluted because I wanted different shades of each colour to build up depth and to give the effect of light and shade as if the sun was rising and casting different shadows on the building.
I think the images in this stamp set are perfect for experimenting with the delicate water colour techniques and I hope you will try this for yourself.
