I love these little bags and am so happy with how they have turned out. They are different from the gift bags I've made in the past as these have a round base, they are an unusual design, very pretty to look at and so easy to make requiring only a few products.
DSP 7 x 31/2"
Score on long side at 61/2"
Score on short side at 3"
Using 2" circular Punch, punch out 2 circles. One circle in DSP and one circle in whisper white cardstock.
On the long side of the DSP where you have scored at 61/2", the remaining 1/2" cut along there at equal intervals like a fringe and add double sided tape along the short side as shown in picture above.
Remove the double sided tape and bring the two edges together in the shape of a cylinder.
Place the 2" whisper white circle inside the cylinder and push towards the bottom near the fringed area. Using liquid glue attach the fringe to the white circle therefore making a circular base to the bag,
Add the 2" DSP circle to the base on the outside as shown above.
To make the Tag Topper closure panel you will need
DSP 13/4 x 3"
Whisper White Cardstock 2 x 3"
Glue the two pieces together leaving a small edge of white showing on either side. Punch one end of the tag with the Tag Topper Scalloped Punch. Take the bag and squeeze both sides together making sure the join is centre back, Attach the tag topper with double sided tape to the back of the bag and bring it forward securing at the front with a Velcro fastener.
I have used a Falling in Love embellishment on the front and the three small flowers are from the Blossom Punch, Rhinestone Basic Jewels for centre embellishments.
The handle is made from Burlap Ribbon, attached to the inside of the bag with glue dots.
I've loved this project and can see myself making many more, I hope you will make these for yourself, with the beautiful DSP now available the variations of this bag are limitless.
