Fresh Florals Hexagon Box with Vellum Flowers

Gwen Maghdour
Independent Stampin'Up! Demonstrator

This beautiful six sided box with floral embellishment has a finished measurement of 31/2 x 3 x 13/4".  I think the colour combination of Lemon Lime Twist and Berry Burst is very effective.

Measurements for the base of the box are as follows
Whisper White card stock 103/4 x 41/2"
Scored on long side at 13/4, 31/2, 51/4, 7, 83/4, 101/2"
Scored on short side at 13/4, 31/2"

This is the template for the base of the box once the card stock has been scored and cut.  The strip at the top has been scored again into triangles, to do this place a mark at the half way point on each 13/4" panel, so place the template back onto the scoring board and mark at
7/8, 25/8, 43/8, 61/8, 77/8, 95/8"
From this central point score two diagonal lines down to meet the horizontal score line below making a series of small triangles as shown in the picture above.

Cut six pieces of DSP 15/8 x 15/8" and glue these to the six  square panels running across the middle of the template, these will be the sides of the base once the box is assembled.

This picture shows how the bottom of the box is constructed and glued together.

This is how the triangular features will look once the base of this gift box has been assembled.

The above picture shows a template of the box lid showing how the lid is scored and cut.
DSP   11 x 23/4"
Scored on long side at 17/8, 33/4, 51/2, 71/8, 87/8, 101/2"
Scored on short side at 13/4"

Glue the two side edges together and construct the top in exactly same way as the bottom was glued together.

This shows the completed box, ribbon has been glued around the box and a bow attached, the three flowers have been made out of Vellum. To make the three flowers you will need six pansy shapes punched using the Pansy Punch, each shape was sponged with Berry Burst ink the petals need to be curled back using a bone folder and then layered together.  Attach the flowers to the lid of the box with Dimensionals and Wink of Stella gives a little sparkle to the edges of the flowers.

Best Birds Card and Gift Bag

Gwen Maghdour
Independent Stampin'Up! Demonstrator

I think this is such a beautiful card, made using Best Birds photopolymer stamp set and Birds and Blooms thinlits dies.  The images were stamped and cut out using the dies, and mounted on Very Vanilla card stock to give three dimensional effect. Colours used are very vanilla, powder pink, old olive, lemon lime twist and daffodil delight.

Card Size 4 x 4"
Very Vanilla card stock 8 x 4" scored at 4"
Old Olive card stock 33/4 x 33/4"
Daffodil Delight DSP 31/2 x 31/2"
Lemon and Lime Twist card stock 23/4 x 23/4"
Very Vanilla card stock 21/2 x 21/2"

Best Birds and Birds and Blooms Thinlits Dies used to make this beautiful little gift bag measuring 31/2 x 31/4 x 11/2"

This is the template with cutting and scoring for the gift bag.

Vanilla card stock 81/4 x 63/4"
Score long side at 31/4 , 43/4 , 8"
Score on short side 11/2 and 51/4"
Two pieces of DSP 31/8 x 31/8"

Fastener
Very Vanilla card stock 4 x 21/8" scored at 2" on long side
DSP 33/4 x 17/8"

Handle
DSP 1 x 51/2"
Score at 1/2" down the length of paper and  fold and glue together making a strip for the handle measuring 1/2 x 51/2".  Using Bone folder gently run this down the paper causing it to curve.

This is one of the 11/2" side pieces of the bag, find the half way mark at 3/4" and score down for 11/2".  This will help the bag to close neatly when assembled.

This is the fastener of the bag, glue the DSP onto the very vanilla card stock and score and fold at 2" on long side.  To make the curved effect on each end I used the Pretty Label Punch.   One half is  glued to the back of the bag and the other half is folded forward to form the fastener, attach a Velcro fastener to close the bag.  The front of the bag was decorated with images and cut outs using Best Birds photopolymer stamp set and Birds and Blooms Thinlits Dies, attached using dimensionals for 3D effect.  The handle was attached to either side of the bag at the back using glue dots.

Gwen Maghdour

Independent Stampin'Up! Demonstrator

A set of notelets made using the 2017 - 2019 in colours,  one of each colour.

The cards measure 4 x 4" and square thinlit dies were used to cut out the three square mats in the centre, these were attached to the cards using dimensionals.  The Daisy Delight Photopolymer bundle was used to stamp the image on whisper white card stock, the daisy image was stamped again and cut out using the Daisy Punch.  A clear faceted gem added for embellishment.

Happy Birthday with Daisies. gift bag and card set.

Gwen Maghdour
Independent Stampin'Up! Demonstrator

Happy Birthday gift bag and card set.

I really like to see a matching gift bag and card and I particularly love this project because I have been working with the beautiful Daisy Delight Designer Series Paper, there are some gorgeous designs in this pack and they make the simplest of projects extra special.
The 3 x 3" card is so easy to make and the design of the card is based on the patterned
DSP.

6 x 6" card stock scored at 3"
DSP 27/8 x 27/8"

I cut out  the DSP so that the focal point of the card is the large daisy. the sentiment is from Best Birds Photopolymer stamp set and stamped in Calypso Coral and the label has been cut out using the pretty label punch and embellished with gold faceted gems.
A quick and easy card to make but very effective.

Measurements for the Gift Bag

Card stock 103/4 x 51/4"
Scored on long side 4, 51/4, 91/4, 101/2"
Scored on short side 11/4"

DSP 33/4 x 33/4"  two of these
DSP 11/8 x 37/8"  two of these

Final measurements of bag 4 x 4 x 11/4"

Once the card stock has been scored you will see two 4 x 4" squares, find the half way point at 2" along the top edge of each square and score two lines from this point to each corner as shown above, forming a triangle.  Do this on both of the 4 x 4" panels.

The two pieces of DSP are scored in the same way and cut as shown above into three pieces.

This is how it will look once the DSP has been glued to the card.

This is the completed gift bag, an example of one of the other designer papers in the Delightful Daisy Pack. The handle is made from Burlap Ribbon embellished with linen thread bows, the paper bow has been made using the bow builder punch and attached to the bag with Dimensionals.  The label is cut out using the Pretty Label Punch and the sentiment from the Best Birds photopolymer stamp set.  Embellished with gold faceted gems.
